In the photographs: preparations for the trial, the entrances to the Nuremberg courthouse, American soldiers guarding the cells of the Nazi criminals, photographs of the courtroom being prepared for the proceedings, close-up shots of the Nazi criminals in the courtroom, the prosecution and defense teams, the audience present in the courtroom during the trial, the judges, security arrangements, and rare scenes from the sentencing. The photographer, Charles W. Alexander, captured dozens of scenes from the courtroom with his camera on behalf of the Office of the Chief Counsel for War Crimes of the United States and for the court, and published them in the album before us.
