Shimhat HaRegel, Livorno [1782], the copy of Maran the Hid'a with handwritten repairs. Given as a gift to the Rabbi of Livorno the genius Rabbi Ya'akov Nunis Vais, with self-dedication in his handwriting and signature, and with corrections apparently in the handwriting of the Hid'a.

Commentary of the the Hid'a on Megillat Ruth, 'limudim' for Shavuot, and Sukkot, Commentary on Ein Yaakov Sukkah tractate - an essay by the Hid'a During his time in Livorno - first edition. On the title page a self-dedication in the handwriting of Rabbi Ya'akov Nunis Vais who received the book as a gift from the Hid'a: "ניתן לי במתנה מאת הרב חיד"א ה' יאריך ימיו, הצעיר תולעת יעקב נוניס "ואיס ס"ט [cropped at the end of the words]. At the end of the book is "Simchat HaRegel limud A" leaf, which corresponds to page 43 with handwritten corrections to the left of the lines, apparently in the handwriting of the Hid'a . All the repairs have been put in the body of the book and appear in the early edition before us as it came out from print. At the end of the book is a blank page containing several handwritten lines in Italian from the printing year [1782], possibly written by Rabbi Yaakov Nunis.

The genius Rabbi Ya'akov Nunis Vais , (died 1815), the "Chedvat Ya'akov" - son of the genius Rabbi Yitzchak Ya'akov Nunis, author of "Shiach Yitzhak", on the Shas tractates. Rabbi Ya'akov Nunis was a close associate and good friend of the Hid'a, and later filled the Hida's place in the city's rabbinate. He dealt with the wisdom of Kabbalah and became known to one of the Geniuses of secret Tora and practical Kabalah. His approvals adorn the books of some of his great generation, and even the genius Rabbi Akiva Iger Mention him in his Gilyon HaShas.

64 [3] leaves (no 102 page of the first part). 20.5 cm. A few stains. Correction page in moderate condition - reinforced with paper paste on his back. New cardboard binding. Good condition.
