Shtar Hatzi Zachar (Half Part Male certificate) Amsterdam 1763. In the center, Magen David with the letters ק.א.א. (Amsterdam Ashkenazi community). The note is filled in by handwriting and signed by the community Gabayim, and by the signatures of the Commit.

"Shtar Hatzi Zachar" Written on the day of the canopy according to the sages' regulations, and its wording was determined in the early days, and its function is to ensure in due course the inheritance of a daughter together with her brother, even though according to Torah law, where there are sons, a daughter does not inherit her father and mother. Usually, the note is written as part of the dowry the father gave to his daughter at the time of her marriage, in which he undertook that the daughter's share in the inheritance would be half of the sons' share.
