The American magazine Collier's dated November 11, 1944 - Towards the victory of the Allies in World War II. The Allies against the backdrop of the Statue of Liberty and the American flag - impressive title page designed by Anthony Pelc.

Issue published towards the end of the war, after Nazi Germany had already suffered defeats on several fronts, in light of the heavy bombings of the Allies in Japan: "The fact is that we have only just begun the job of blasting Japan's war power... after the Allies defeat Germany we will finish the job in Japan". On the last page is a cartoon of a surrendering Japanese figure with swastika eyes. Also featured is an article on where Greece was heading after being liberated by the Allies - towards democracy or communism, an article on the Allied armies in the skies of the Netherlands under the command of General Brereton, the advantage of American ships in the war against Japan, a major story about an American fighter from North Carolina, about the abilities of American tanks, and more.

86 p. 35 cm. Complete issue. Minor tears in the upper part of the title page. Tear in the last page at the top right with light damage to text. Restored tear on the back cover on the right without damage to text. The remaining pages and issue are in good - very good condition.
