L'INVASION JUIVE - "The Jewish Invasion" - a rare antisemitic edition of the newspaper La Libre Parole ("The Last Word"), founded by the antisemitic agitator Edouard Drimon, published by the antisemitic Henry Coston. An issue from October-September 1938 which was published as part of the attempts to revive the newspaper which was finally closed about twenty years earlier in 1919.

A venomous antisemitic propaganda sheet full of articles and cartoons against the Jews. On the title page is a cartoon in which a Jew is seen in a stereotypical face, intending to take over a French girl who is wrapped in a Star of David around her neck with the caption "Kosher". Alongside the cartoon are several verses that speak of the control of the people of Israel over the peoples, and an accompanying venomous description: "Did not this prophecy come true? 100,000 Jews who fled the ghettos of Poland, Romania, Hungary, Russia, Have they not invaded our land? Have they not gained ownership of most of the great and good cities we have built? ... Do you not feel the danger lurking for us by the Jewish invasion? ... . Next to it is a cartoon in which a Jew is seen holding a silver sack, mounted on an exhausted French warrior. In another cartoon that appears on the inside page of the newspaper, a French citizen appears next to a Jew and the antisemitic caption: "Are you looking for a job? No, the money I get from other people's work is enough for me, " and more. The entire issue is full of antisemitic propaganda - particularly sharp anti-Semitic articles against the Jews, warning against the Jewish takeover of French society and allegedly exposing the ugly character of the Jew. Jews are accused of every possible injustice affecting France and its citizens, as well as the rest of the world, past and present - security, economic, political, and social.

The newspaper's editor Henry Coston [1910-2001] - undertook the newspaper's reprint after it was finally closed in 1924. Coston, an antisemitic Frenchman who headed the "Antisemitic Youth" in France who set himself the goal of fighting for the "exclusion of Jews from France". During World War II he belonged to the fascist organization PPT, and was even vice president of the Anti-Jewish Journalists Association. Towards the end of the war he even kept in touch with Ulrich Fleischauer, who himself published an antisemitic newspaper. Coston even edited the harsh anti-Semitic French publication that came out in France in the 1930s "I hate you" (see Dynasty, Auction 1, Item 48). In 1944 he tried to escape to Austria, but was captured and sentenced to forced labor for life. In 1952 he was pardoned due to his medical condition, and served only five years. Coston continued his silent anti-Semitic propaganda, with the participation of an extreme right-wing press.
