Two train tickets from the concentration camp Mauthausen to Reichraming as part of the Nazi's ruse to make the Jews believe that they were only going to work in the camp and from there they would return at the end of the work. Upper Austria, early 1940s. extremely rare.

The Nazis issued these travel tickets to mislead the Jews, even if there were some who had heard about the concentration camps and what was done in them, in this case, just as they are taken to the camp, so they will return from it. We know about similar travel tickets that were issued by the Nazis during the deportations to Auschwitz. The Jews gathered with their belongings in the central square in preparation for being put on the trains, where they bought the tickets to Auschwitz there were also tickets from Auschwitz back. This was one of the tricks of the Nazis to obscure their cruel intentions, in this way the Jews did not imagine that they were traveling to their deaths. Tickets of this type are displayed in the permanent exhibition of the Yad Vashem Museum.

Same size: 6x3 cm. Very good condition.
