Joseph Moisevich Tchaikov (Chaikov 1888-1979) - a Jewish sculptor, graphic artist, painter, teacher and theorist born in Kiev. Tchaikov studied in Paris from 1910-1914. After the First World War he was one of the founders of the "Cultural League" association in Kiev, taught sculpture classes, illustrated books - mainly children's books - and in the years after the revolution, also designed propaganda posters.
