A copy dedicated and signed by the author: 'Chère Ruth, cordialement' - 'Dear Ruth, cordially'. Cover designed by A. gallans - arm with a prisoner number (of Guy Cohen) stretched between barbed wire fences against the background of cremated bodies in the crematorium, and flames of fire in the background.

The Jew Guy Cohen was imprisoned in Auschwitz for three years, he was captured by the Gestapo at the age of 20. The Nazis searched for his father on espionage charges, and when he was not found they arrested his son. They assured him that if he found out his father's hiding place he would be released within 5 minutes. Guy Cohen insisted on not being exiled, was severely tortured, and was transferred to Auschwitz. In the book, he tells his harsh testimony that includes the entire agonizing period in which he was imprisoned in Auschwitz until the camp was liberated by the Soviets.
