Renowned Armenian photographer Garabed Krikorian; 1847-1920 Jerusalem photographer of Armenian origin in the second half of the 19th century and the early 20th century. In 1885 he opened the first studio shop in the city of Jerusalem at the Jaffa Gate near the wall, which he managed together with various partners (Daoud Savongi, Miteri) and later with his son Obhans Krikorian. Specialized in portrait and studio photography in Oriental style in large negatives. His clients were residents of Jerusalem from different strata - Arabs, Jews, Europeans - and tourists who were photographed in the spirit of the Orient. He also took many foreign photographs, including photographs of Jerusalem and Hebron, and in 1898 documented the German emperor's visit to Jerusalem. Following that, he boasted the title of "Prussian Royal Court Photographer", which is now displayed on his photographs. In the late 19th century, a series of albums of landscapes of the Land of Israel prepared for Sultan Abdul Hamid II and has since Boasted the title "Photographer of the Court of Sultan Abdul Hamid II". One of the students of Garabed Krikorian is Yaakov Ben Dov, known as the "Pioneer of the Land of Israel film".

Size: 24x32 cm. Stains. A corner is missing at the photographer's cardboard on the top left, without damaging the photo itself. Good condition.
