Handwritten diary notebook of members of the 'Meretz Group' - a training group that operated as an independent unit within the 'Working Youth' movement. The diary was written in the months of March 1940 to November 1941, with a vivid description of everyday life, minutes of meetings in which the group discussed the way to crystallization towards kibbutz life and all that entails, 'individual inquiries', Members' deliberations whether to stay in the nucleus or leave, and more. As the contents of the diary show, some of the members left the group before the planned kibbutz was established, and some of them joined Kibbutz "Haboneh", later "Dorot", and were among its founders.

Among other things, the diary describes internal discussions between the group members about marketing agricultural products, a description of celebrations held "20 years to the Histadrut", lighting Hanukkah candles together, Tu Bishvat party, a description of a gathering of Yavneel working youth with 250 members from the Lower Galilee district, Discussions held among members regarding increasing the group members' awareness of the destinations for which it was established, discussions regarding the 'conquest of the land', names of group members who attended discussions about its purpose, an exciting description of the group's trip to Beit Oren, Jerusalem, Jericho, and Haifa, and more.
