The Gaon Rabbi Shaul Israeli [1909-1995] is an important posek. In his youth he studied in Talmud Torah and a small yeshiva in Slutsk under the leadership of Rabbi Yechezkel Abramsky and the head of the yeshiva, Rabbi Isser Zalman Meltzer. One of the most prominent rabbis of religious Zionism.
