Letter of blessing in the handwriting and signature of Rabbi Aharon Mendel HaCohen - Ashkenazi Rabbi of Cairo, to Rabbi Avraham Leib Zilberman on the occasion of his appointment as Chief Rabbi of Safed: "And when the Galilee was released I asked the man closest to him (I do not want to publish who) who will fill his place ... and this day that I received this letter ... I blessed Baruch the returns the Torah to To its place ... G-d will protect him from every enemy and hater and especially from the hater of Israel ... " and multiplies in blessings.

Rabbi Aharon Menachem Mendel HaCohen BHara'n [1866 - 1927] Rabbi of the Ashkenazi Jewish community in Cairo. In 1897, he accepted the invitation of the Ashkenazi community in Cairo, which was then in its infancy, and accepted the tenure of the Chief Rabbi, who persisted in it for about thirty years. Organized the community and established in it educational and charitable institutions that remained existing for years. His main book is "Smichat Chachamim" in which he expressed the demand for the renewal of the Sanhedrin in Israel, in order to strengthen the authority of the rabbinate.

Recipient of the letter: Rabbi Avraham Yehuda Leib Zilberman [1889-1948] Chief Rabbi of Safed for thirty years beginning in 1917, after the death of his grandfather, he was appointed to the position and he is twenty-eight years old. Served as Chief Rabbi to both communities, Ashkenazi and Sephardic.
