Magnificent album with some 160 photographs from Eretz Israel of the British soldier P.G. Polard (CFN rank) who served in Eretz Israel – photographs from cities in Eretz Israel and the surrounding area, military activity, landscape scenes and more. Most of them were taken in Eretz Israel. Mid 1940s.
In the pockets of the album are among others photographs of: the Western Wall, Temple Mount, Old City wall gates, Ben Yehuda Street in Jerusalem, sights from the city of Jaffa, the Dead Sea, Jericho, Cairo, Tel Aviv, scenes from Damascus, British Army soldiers in training, military activity, overturned army vehicles, women’s training, British ships, Arabs from Eretz Israel, and many more.
