According to the story, Sherlock Holmes is a private detective and secret agent who interprets intricate affairs himself or assists the police and the British intelligence service, where his older brother, Micropat Holmes, solves various mysteries and murders. Doyle's image was based on the image of a real man, a professor who taught the writer named Joseph Bell. The book series began in 1887 and was published every few years for about 20 years.
