ALLEMAGNE SADIQUE - Sadistic Germany by Dr. Henri Drouin - One of the earliest publications trying to understand how the German people reached the lowest moral point in the history of nations during World War II, published by La Vulgarisation Scientifique, Paris, 1945 - first edition. Includes photos from the death camps. French.

"The extermination of millions of defenseless beings, from infants to elders, from workers to great scientists, was organized and carried out not by a handful of wretched men drunk on absurd theories and unlimited power, but by Germany as a whole, which if not active, at least knew, approved of, and profited from it". An important publication released immediately after the war in an attempt to analyze and understand the phenomenon, how the German people who in the past contributed to civilization through thinkers like Kant, Goethe, Schiller, Mozart and Beethoven, reached such a moral low during World War II when they committed the worst atrocities since the dawn of history. How the brainwashing of the Nazi propaganda machine managed to bring about the worst deeds ever committed since the dawn of history.
The book includes eight photo plates from the death camps, prisoners, torture facilities, corpses in the camps, the crematorium, the commandant of Bergen-Belsen camp after being captured by Allied forces, and more.
Over the years, countless books, booklets and articles have been written in an attempt to understand the Nazi phenomenon in the context of the German people and their relationship to German history. Before us is one of the earliest publications ever issued, perhaps the first, dealing with the fundamental question of the Holocaust, the factors leading to Germany's incomprehensible moral deterioration in World War II.
