Two issues of JUDISCHES GEMEINDEBLATT FUR DIE BRITISCHE ZONE - a newspaper of She’erit HaPletah (survivors) in the British-occupied territory. German.

* Issue dated May 12, 1948 - Extensive coverage of the establishment of the State of Israel - two days before the declaration of independence . On the title page is a photograph of David Ben-Gurion with Hebrew soldiers, as well as photographs of memorial events held in memory of those who perished in the Holocaust in various camps in German territory, and articles dealing with the War of Independence and the threat of Arab invasion to Eretz Israel. (At the end of the issue, many advertisements for Jewish businesses in German).

* Issue dated July 28, 1948 - on the title page a photograph of Ben-Gurion who arrived in Germany with his wife for the event of the British forces' departure from the area - Israeli flags. The issue deals with the UN decision on the division of the Land of Israel, and the War of Independence.
