A postcard sent from the Warsaw ghetto to Istanbul, stamped with the ghetto Judenrat stamp and a Nazi stamp. Warsaw, June 1, 1942 (Sent on June 17) - the most difficult months for the Warsaw Ghetto. German.
A postcard sent from a person from the Rinslov family to relatives in Istanbul. In his letter he reports that his family members currently live in Outwok, and that the situation in the ghetto is very difficult, and if they do not act soon to help his brother he does not know if he will see him again. He also states that he is waiting for parcels to arrive from Portugal, and wonders why the parcels are not yet arriving. The date the postcard was sent was one of the most difficult times the ghetto knew. Just before the big aktion that took place on July 21, 1942, in which SS soldiers passed through the ghetto streets, firing indiscriminately at the ghetto people, and began evacuating the ghetto people to the "east" for extermination.
[1] Written postcard on both sides. Good condition.
