Two leaflets printed for Allied soldiers, ahead of the victory over the German army in World War II.

* Proclamation printed for the 15th Army Group in the Allied Army, signed [print] by Mark Clark, Commander of the Group. The group included British and American forces and fought on the Italian front. Under his command the army advanced northwards, in the face of stubborn German resistance. The proclamation before us was sent to the commanders in April 1945 to strengthen them in the last battles leading up to the victory on this front. 27x20 cm. Stains. Good condition.

* SPECIEL ORDER OF THE DAY . Proclamation announcing the last battle leading up to the Allied victory and the surrender of German forces in the Italian campaign. April 1945. Signed by Field Marshal Harold Rupert Alexander [print] Commander of the Allied Land Forces, leading the campaign for the liberation of Italy. The proclamation addresses the commanders of the forces and the fighters in the Mediterranean sector to strengthen them towards the final battle. A month of bitter battles has passed since this day order was issued. On April 29, 1945, Alexander accepted the surrender of the forces of the Axis powers in Italy, when a few days later all German forces surrendered and the war in Europe ended. (For his service and command Alexander was awarded a number of decorations and titles throughout the war years, on March 1, 1946 along with other prominent officers in the war, Alexander was awarded the title of 'Vicont Alexander of Tunis and Arigel' by King George VI). 21x16 cm. Stains, good condition.
