Two 'hoops' made of silver, which used to put the women and girls around their legs with a small compartment for placing amulets to guard 'the right' and 'the left'. Tunis, 19th century.
In each hoop Rectangular cell, an amulet was placed inside it, on the outside an engraving of a fish shape - which according to tradition symbolizes protection from the evil eye, and a good sign of success and fertility. Around, engravings in floral patterns. Museum item.
