An impressive Victorian album containing a collection of 57 Jewish "Happy New Year" postcards - including rare ones - Early 20th century.
On the pages of the album are placed postcards with colorful New Year greetings full of grace - scenes of children with musical instruments playing in vehicles, children and flowers, children holding Simchat Torah flags, the captain, the boy and the headphones, postcards with Shana Tova greetings in Hebrew and German that were issued in Germany, New Year postcards with coins and children holding the money bags, the angel scene, and more. Many postcards in the collection of Warsaw “Central” Publishing, some of which are rare.
On each page of the album, four postcards are placed in its pockets, with all four postcards appearing on a page having the same subject but different from each other. On the first page, a Happy New Year postcard with a European snowy landscape and greetings in Hebrew and German, framed with fabric ribbons (rare in itself). On cover of the album are golden decorations and an illustration of a girl holding flowers.
Album: 36x25 cm. Postcards 9x14 cm. The album and postcards are in good condition. Some of the pages of the album have tears near the slots intended for inserting the postcards.
