Paris, 1945 - Numbered edition. Copy No. 24, military censorship number: 1005. Fancy booklet containing the full transcripts of speeches by the leaders of the French Republic delivered on the occasion of the liberation of Paris and the victory in World War II - The copy of the French lawyer and politician Louis Jacqoinot [1898-1993], who served as Minister of Veterans and War Victims in France in 1949 - His handwritten signature on the title page.

In the booklet which was distributed to a limited number of personalities, the transcripts include speeches by Mr. Felix Gouin, President of the Consultative Assembly, Mr. Monnerville, President of the French Overseas Committee, Madame Peri, Representative of the Consultative Assembly, Mr. Louis Saillant, President of the National Resistance Council, and Prime Minister of the Republic General de Gaulle's famous speech in which he declared:
"The German Reich is completely destroyed...France staked in this war its existence as a nation, and even the physical and moral fate of each of its children, but it has won the game...".

Louis Jacqoinot [1898-1993] a French lawyer and politician, and head of the office of Prime Minister Raymond Poincaré. After entering parliament in 1932, he briefly served as Under-Secretary of State for Home Affairs in Paul Reynaud's cabinet (1940). During World War II he served in the army and followed General de Gaulle to London. He held many high-ranking positions in France: High Commissioner of the Navy in the provisional governments of Algeria and Paris, Minister of State for Muslim Affairs (1945), Minister of the Navy (1947), Minister for Veterans and War Victims (1949), Minister Overseas (1951-1954). After de Gaulle's return to power in 1958, he was appointed Minister of State responsible for Scientific Research.
