The exhibition, which opened in May 1931, was intended to present the culture typical of the colonial empire colonies, including Eretz Israel. The exhibition was held as part of a propaganda campaign aimed to convincing the citizens of the superpowers and other countries of the world of its positive contribution of colonial expansion. In the exhibition, the Eretz Israel Pavilion was built as part of the exhibition of the British Empire. This was the first time that Eretz Israel - Palestine - was represented in an international exhibition. The Eretz Israel pavilion was built In the form of Rachel's Tomb. Although the pavilion was a general pavilion of the Mandatory Land of Israel, exhibits were presented that reflected almost exclusively the development of the Jewish Yishuv and the Zionist enterprise; Industrial plants such as the "Nesher" Cement Factory and the "Rothenberg" power plants, the development of the city of Tel Aviv and agricultural products. Also on display were the book editions of "Stiebel", "Omanut" and "Dvir". The development of the land was presented through exhibits of the Mikve Israel experimental station and exhibits of the JNF, Keren Hayesod and PIKA.
