Rare color photograph of Dreyfus and officers published as a color Real Photo postcard described in French on the bottom, in the courtyard of the École Militaire - on July 21, 1906 - at the Honor ceremony held after his final exoneration - signed by Dreyfus.
The photograph before us was taken at the honor ceremony held for Dreyfus, after on July 12 the Court of appeals annulled the verdict of the Court in Rennes and declared Dreyfus innocent, the next day the National Assembly decided by a majority to restore Dreyfus' military rank. For the event that concluded the affair, on July 21 an honor ceremony for Dreyfus was held in the courtyard of the École Militaire in Paris where he was restored to the French army and promoted to the rank of Major and awarded the Legion of Honor cross.
