A rare photograph of the execution by hanging of prisoners in the Auschwitz death camp. Signed on the back with the ink stamp of the photo agency L.A.P.I.
In the background are seen the soldiers of the German 707th Infantry Division in the camp who are the ones who were involved in the execution in this way. Often they would place a large group of Jews in front of those condemned to death, and force them to look at the horrible spectacle so that they may be afraid to break the rules of the camp. The photograph is depicted on the back on a sticker from the war time: “Auschwitz camp, hanging”.
24×18 cm. Good condition.
