BEKANNTMACHUNG - Notice regarding meetings of Jewish women in Shanghai, and the opening of a women's mikveh for the European exile women who arrived in Shanghai - November 1941. German.
"The Women's Association "Beit Jaakov" meets at Dialy Road 328 on Mondays and Thursdays between 8-9pm. In the lower part of the notice: "We hereby announce that a mikveh has been opened at 50 Museum Road (inside the synagogue) daily from 17:30 - available free of charge for women. The mikveh can only serve as a ritual immersion bath. "Machzikey HaDat Shanghai, November 23, 1941".
The synagogue was located at 50 Museum Road in Shanghai during the war. The street still exists today, and is now an contemporary arts district housing a community of over a hundred artists.
